REAL LIFE FOUNDATION will put once again the fun back in the run for 3k, 5k, 10k (Men/Women) RACE FOR LIFE on November 12, 2011 (Saturday) @ 6:00 am in Every Nation Building Grounds, 32nd Street corner University Parkway, Bonifacio Global City (across Market! Market!)

Another category in the event is the “Amazing Race” for Big & Small team wherein one adult and one child (5, 10 years old) will run, skip, hop & much more to the finish line!

The Race for Life 2011 will be a fun run and great event for the benefit of Real Life Foundation, an educational advocacy organization dedicated to serving the poor and empowering their dreams through education, mentoring and community service with their vision of transforming lives, families, and communities through hope and education. Their programs includes Life Scholarships (Educational Assistance), Life Coaching (Character Development) & Life Line (Community Service).

In other words, Real Life Foundation exists to honor God by serving the poor and improving their lives through educational assistance, leadership development, and community service.

Moreover, the foundation is registered with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock, non-profit organization. In fact, they are also accredited by the Philippine Council of NGO Certification and have been given by the BIR Donee Status  allowing them to issue full deduction tax receipts to their donors.

Last night, in Chris Sports – SM Mega Mall, according to Ms. Arlene Lindo,  there were forty three (43) people representing media components who attended and pledged  support to the cause of the run.

Breaking Point Foundation (Phils.), Inc., an affiliate of The Breaking Point Foundation in Springfield, Missouri, U.S.A., is a locally based NGO that addresses the problem of drug abuse among young people. It has teams of Crisis Intervention and Prevention Specialists and Presenters who are “meeting people at their breaking points” through unique presentations. Using athletic skill, humor, drama and audience participation, Breaking Point’s team members provide large group presentations followed by small group interaction as well as a variety of workshop programs. Breaking Point’s programs are designed to prevent suicide and substance abuse.

Their unique programs:

*Breaking Point Foundation provides a 45-minute Large Group presentation before the Classroom Sessions.

*The combination of skill (martial arts) and subtle humor captures the student’s attention and communicates a message.

*Incorporated in their programs is the use of skillful object lessons.

*Audience participation is encouraged to help build rapport with the audience.

*Dramas (mimes) are also utilized to add variety to the program and at the same time to communicate a serious message while capturing the audience’s attention.

*Classroom Sessions, which last for 30 minutes only, are provided as Breaking Point team members are sent to classrooms to provide workshops.

*Breaking Point volunteers spend 30 minutes in the classroom for the workshop after the large group presentation.
