Best Travel Destinations on a Budget
Here’s a closer look at some wonderful places you can visit without going too deep into debt. The good news is that even though these places are inexpensive, they’re still a lot of fun and can give you just what you’re looking for when it comes to travel.
●Cambodia – While Vietnam and other countries may get most of the attention in this part of the world, Cambodia has a lot going for it. You get the same beauty of the natural world at a much lower price than neighboring countries. And if you’re willing to spend the night in a hostel,
you can usually get space for as little as $4 a night.
●Colombia – Yes, Colombia has a history of bad guys and drugs and othermayhem (death, murder, kill), but you need to take another look. Because of the bad reputation, it’s actually really affordable to visit and stay for a long period. As long as you’re not heading into the mountains or outside the cities, you’re going to be safe in Colombia.
●Thailand – While Bangkok may be expensive, there are plenty of other places in Thailandthat are a lot less expensive. And if you look closely at the exact prices of staying in Bangkok, you’re going to find that the prices are very reasonable – especially if you’re willing to forego a five-star hotel each and every single night. You’ll find that your money goes a long way in this Asian country.
●Bolivia – With both cheap accommodations and a lot to do and see – not to mention the local culture and history – you’re going to love Bolivia as a destination if you’re traveling on a budget. Be sure to check out the city of La Paz. You can find four museums there that cost very little to get in. You’re going to be blown away by all that Bolivia has to offer budget travelers.
While we only mentioned four specific countries above, with a little research you’re going to find that there are a lot of other options as well. This takes a bit of time, of course, but doing this will allow you to have a great vacation that is easy to afford. If you do well enough, you may find that you can stay away an extra week or even be able to travel to more than one destination.
