Attending a seminar on Employees’ Compensation Program in Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC) last June 15, 2011 is a great experience for me learning of its benefits, policies, programs and other related matters concerned which are important to every employees and employers in the business sectors of both public and private.
In fact, this is a half-day (morning) free seminar conducted by ECC with office address at ECC Building, Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City, Philippines which was attended by two of us associates in the office that will also be share among the officers and employees.
The seminar has three topics which was presented by three speakers from the ECC.
The first topic is about the Basic Accident Prevention and Occupational Safety and Health presented by Dr. Ma. Sarah A. I. Concepcion, MD, MOH, sharing the basic principles and practice of accident and disease prevention in the workplace. And also the commitment in preventing the recurrence of accidents and diseases within every organizations.
Another topic is the purpose of Employees’ Compensation Program which is designed to provide employees and their families with income benefits and medical and other benefits in the event of work-connected sickness, injury or death.
Lastly, Dr. Raymond Banaga shared about the benefits and assistance for the employees related to the program. He also mentioned the employees who had received the benefits and those successful persons who availed the livelihood projects conducted by the ECC.
The topics that I have shared is only the synopsis. In fact, we are preparing on it for a presentation in the office perhaps in the first week of July 2011.
The attendees in the said seminar has received a Certificate of Participation signed by Ms. Evelyn P. Florendo-Tablang, Executive Director of Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC).
