Pulang Araw is a television drama war series in the Philippines with the lead cast and charaters Alden Richards as Eduardo dela Cruz , Barbie Forteza as Adelina “Chinita” dela Cruz, Sanya Lopez as Teresita “Morena” Borromeo , David Licauco as Hiroshi Tanaka & Dennis Trillo as Yuta Saito that will be broadcast by GMA Network on July 29, 2024 on GMA Prime under the direction of Dominic Zapata.
On July 13, 2024 the lead cast of Pulang Araw has attended the Meet & Greet the Cast of Pulang Araw at Pop Up Play – PinoyCon 2024 in One Ayala, Makati City supported by great supporters, loyal fans, media, management, organizers, exhibitors and concerned citizens from the diverse communities in the society.
Pulang Araw (transl. Red Sun) is written by Suzette Doctolero and her interest in writing the story was a result of the experience of her grandparents as guerilla fighters and vaudeville performers during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines.
